TopBuild Corp. (BLD) engages in the installation and distribution of insulation and other building products to the United States construction industry.
The company operates in two segments, Installation and Distribution.
It offers insulation products, rain gutters, glass and windows, fireproofing and firestopping products, garage doors, fireplaces, shower enclosures, closet shelving, accessories, and other products; and residential insulation services.
The company also provides various services and tools that are designed to assist builders in applying the principles of building science to new home construction, which includes pre-construction plan reviews, various inspection services, and diagnostic testing; and home energy rating services.
It serves single-family homebuilders, local/single-family custom builders, multi-family builders, commercial general contractors, remodelers, and individual homeowners, as well as insulation contractors, gutter contractors, weatherization contractors, other contractors, dealers, metal building erectors, and modular home builders.
TopBuild Corp. has approximately 200 installation branches located in 40 states, and 75 distribution centers in 32 states.
On October 31st, Topbuild reported 3rd Quarter September 2019 earnings of $1.53 per share on revenue of $682.3 million. The consensus earnings estimate was $1.40 per share on revenue of $671.2 million. Revenue grew 5.4% on a year-over-year basis.
The company said it expects 2019 revenue of $2.625 billion to $2.645 billion. The company's previous guidance was revenue of $2.61 billion to $2.64 billion and the current consensus estimate is revenue of $2.62 billion for the year ending December 31, 2019.
