Adept Technology (ADEP) designs, manufactures, and sells industrial and mobile robots for semiconductor, warehouse, logistics, food, and small parts flexible manufacturing markets worldwide.
The company operates through two segments, Robotics and Services and Support. It offers Adept SmartController, a robot motion controller; Adept SmartVision EX, a high-performance vision processor; Adept AnyFeeder, which is used to present parts to a robot; and Adept FlexiBowl, a feed solution for use with Adept robots and vision systems.
The company also provides software products, such as Adept ACE (automation control environment), a PC-based software for configuring, calibrating, and managing equipment in a workcell; ACE PackXpert, an extension of Adept ACE to deploy automation solutions; AdeptSight for vision guidance and inspection applications; and Adept ePLC Connect Server software that provides connectivity with the customer supplied Ethernet/IP PLC.
In addition, it offers industrial robots, such as parallel robots, 6-axis robots, selective compliance assembly robot arm robots, inverted SCARA robots, and linear modules, as well as mobile robots, such as Adept Lynx, an autonomous indoor vehicle for developers for custom applications and payloads; Adept Courier, an intelligent mobile transporter; Adept Transporter, an autonomous indoor vehicle for delivering 150 mm, 200 mm, and reticle SMIF Pods in any semiconductor fab; and Adept Handler, a mechanized autonomous indoor vehicle used for handling 150 or 200 mm SMIF Pods in any semiconductor fab.
