RARE MREO | Hot Stocks17:53 EDT Ultragenyx and Mereo announce results from Phase 2/3 Orbit study - Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical (RARE) and Mereo BioPharma Group (MREO) announced positive 14-month results from the Phase 2 portion of the ongoing Phase 2/3 Orbit study demonstrating that, as of a May 24 data cut-off date, treatment with setrusumab continued to significantly reduce incidence of fractures in patients with OI with at least 14 months of follow-up. Treatment with setrusumab also resulted in ongoing and meaningful improvements in lumbar spine bone mineral density, or BMD, at month 12 without evidence of plateau. The large reduction in annualized radiologically confirmed fracture rate previously reported in patients treated for a minimum of 6 months was sustained in patients treated for at least 14 months with a high degree of significance. The median annualized rate of radiologically confirmed fractures across all 24 patients in the 2 years prior to treatment was 0.72. Following a mean treatment duration period of 16 months, the median annualized fracture rate was reduced 67% to 0.00. The annualized fracture rate excluded morphometric vertebral fractures and fractures of the fingers, toes, skull, and face, consistent with the Phase 3 study primary efficacy endpoint. The reduction in annualized fracture rates was associated with continued, clinically meaningful increases in BMD. Tests conducted at the 12-month timepoint demonstrated that treatment with setrusumab resulted in a mean increase in lumbar spine BMD from baseline of 22% across all age groups (5 to less than 26 years old), a further improvement from 14% observed at 6 months of treatment. This increase in BMD is reflected in the change from the mean baseline lumbar spine BMD Z-score of -1.73 to -0.49 at 12 months across all age groups, a substantial normalization in Z-score of +1.25. This is further improved from the mean 6-month Z-score change of +0.85. The improvements in BMD and Z-scores were significant and consistent across all OI sub-types studied.

You're absolutely right. I mean, it's we're watching it very closely over the last several weeks. You know, there's a lot of forecasts as well that, you know, still anticipating good growth in the category. So we're kind of waiting for that to turn around here. You know, we're heading into summer right now. It's the busiest beverage season that, you know, when you look at July, August, you know, usually best months of the year. So those are things that we're waiting on. I think the little we've have been disappointed with the category not seeing that category growth as we anticipated. But, you know, there seems to be a lot of factors from seeing a lot of the write ups on weather and timing of resets. And it could be also, you know, the spending patterns on, you know, consumers starting to feel the pinch on the gas pump and all the rising costs. So there's a lot of variables there I think you look at total beverage overall and it's, you know, be interesting to see the reports coming out, but you're starting to see some spending, deep spending, deep cuts, you know, that you haven't seen over. I think when you look at, you know, Celsius specifically, you know, we're showing good growth as well on the, you know, the scanner data. So Celsius is growing. I think if you back out Celsius out of the energy drink category, it's, you know, in a negative position on growth."

OLSI | Hot Stocks12:19 EDT Origin Life Sciences to present on devices for treatment of battlefield wounds - Origin Life Sciences announced that the Company's abstract, titled: "NO: a Novel, Pathogen-Agnostic Therapy for Treatment-Resistant Wound Infections in the Warfighter," has been accepted for presentation at 2024 Military Health System Research Symposium. MHSRS, America's foremost annual military-healthcare conference, is scheduled from 26-29 August 2024 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center, Kissimmee, FL. The abstract was accepted under the breakout session: Innovative Technologies and Devices for Treatment of Battlefield Wounds in Prolonged Care to Prevent Infection. The poster for this breakout session will be presented in Poster Session 3 on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 by Dr. Terry Treadwell, Vice President of the Wound and Lymphedema committee of the World Health Organization and the Company's Chief Clinical Officer designate. Key aspects of the abstract, include: Introduction: Nitric oxide, produced by white blood cells and macrophages, is key to the body's defense against bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. Capability: Although active in vitro against these pathogens, NO has not before been useful in clinical treatments due to its short half-life and inability to penetrate tissue. A newly-developed, clinically-proven technology - in which NO is produced from room air in a stream of high-energy plasma - has shown promise in treating infected wounds without challenges associated with antimicrobial resistance. In this form, NO has an increased half-life and the ability to penetrate tissue. The treatment is easy to give, non-invasive, and has a favorable safety profile. In greater than1,000 treatments given to patients with complex wounds in FDA trials, there were no device-related adverse effects. Methods/Technical Approach: The plasma energy stream is delivered to the wound and surrounding tissue for between 5 and 10 minutes. The field-adaptable machine does not touch the patient, and only standard electrical power is needed to produce the plasma energy/NO. Results: This device has been shown to significantly improves the healing of traumatic wounds that have resisted standard forms of care. Applicability to Medical Roles of Care: Plasma energy/NO kills organisms by mechanisms which prevent them from developing resistance. Since it is pathogen-agnostic, microbe-identification is not needed before treatment. Plasma energy enables the NO to penetrate the skin and tissue for greater than3 cm into the affected site. The stream is believed to increase microcirculation, stimulate hemostasis, promote tissue-regeneration and stem cell activation, and modulate the immune system. Its potential anti-inflammatory effect may be able to reduce edema and pain. The device's mobility in its portable form and its ease of use are ideal in the field where resources are limited. Field-adapted versions have been deployed to the field and successfully treated patients. Early treatment can prevent wound infections, treat contaminated wounds, and accelerate healing, without concern for AMR. Where care is provided, the therapy will lead to infection control, faster wound healing, and control of pain and inflammation. SEER | Hot Stocks11:16 EDT Seer announces publications highlighting studies on Proteograph Product Suite - Seer announced three publications highlighting studies led by Christopher Mason, Ph.D. that show how Seer's Proteograph Product Suite can uncover novel insights into plasma proteomic changes that occur during spaceflight. The studies further demonstrate the power of the Proteograph workflow to offer scientists a deeper understanding of physiological responses and biology that can advance the development of novel biomarkers and precision medicines across a wide range of research sectors. Published in Nature, the first two manuscripts, "The Space Omics and Medical Atlas: A comprehensive data resource and international biobank for astronauts," and "A second space age," highlight data and a sample repository for clinical, cellular, and multiomic profiles from multiple space missions, including SpaceX Inspiration, Polaris Dawn, Axiom-2, NASA Twins Study, and JAXA Cell-Free RNA Study. The first-of-its-kind data resource, which includes plasma proteomic data generated from Seer's Proteograph workflow, offers the life sciences and aerospace communities information that could further be leveraged to study aerospace-associated physiological changes. The third manuscript, "Secretome profiling captures acute changes in oxidative stress, brain homeostasis, and coagulation following short-duration spaceflight," was published in Nature Communications, describing a study led by Dr. Mason, along with Seer scientists. In the study, the researchers profiled the secretome from astronauts of the first all-civilian space flight mission, the SpaceX Inspiration4, using multiple methods, including proteomic profiling from plasma using Seer's Proteograph workflow. Additionally, the scientists evaluated brain-associated changes in spaceflight mice and changes in the blood-brain barrier. While the authors reported acute changes in secretome profiles that recovered six months following the return to Earth, a majority of the plasma differentially abundant proteins were still altered six months after return. More specifically, the researchers noted significant alterations in proteins involved in coagulation and wound healing, antioxidation, and brain function. The study, identified a total of 23,164 peptides mapping to 2,992 unique protein groups, with an average of 2,104 proteins detected per sample. The three papers are part of a set of 44 space mission papers published in Nature journals today. These papers highlight the in-depth profiles from the missions, showcase the plans for upcoming missions to the moon and Mars, and provide additional information on the Proteograph data gathered.

AREN | Hot Stocks10:37 EDT Arena Group files lawsuit against ABG, Minute Media for theft of technology - The Arena Group has filed a lawsuit against ABG, who own the rights to Sports Illustrated, and against Minute Media, for theft of Arena's technology. The company said, "The lawsuit highlights how ABG conspired to steal the crown jewel of Arena's business - the proprietary code technology and trade secrets comprising the valuable internet platform Arena developed at a significant expense...The suit showcases that ABG enlisted business leaders from top tier investment firms - including CVC Capital Partners and BlackRock - to help steal proprietary technology and business from Arena, working with ABG's new licensee, Minute, to orchestrate a multi-step corporate heist...Arena also notes that ABG has a history of monopolistic and predatory licensing behavior. The lawsuit highlights how Arena is 'just the latest licensee to fall victim to ABG's extensive and public history of strip-mining its license partners, imposing steep guaranteed royalties and termination fees that award ABG a windfall.' Another company, 888 Holdings, was forced to terminate its unprofitable joint venture with ABG earlier this year, triggering an oppressive $50 million termination fee. Arena strongly believes that ABG's theft and predatory practices, along with those of their accomplice Minute, who greatly benefited from Arena's years of research, development, and implementation, will be made clear in a court of law." Arena seeks $200 million in damages. The case is pending in federal court in the Southern District of New York.

AXSM | Hot Stocks09:34 EDT Culper Research short Axsome Therapeutics, sees shares 'headed lower' - In a recently published report, Culper Research said it is short Axsome Therapeutics and sees shares "headed lower" as it believes the company's "launch of Auvelity for major depressive disorder has been aided by undisclosed consignment deals with dodgy mail-order pharmacies that subvert prior authorizations, inflating script counts and reported revenues." "In short, Axsome has simply not been paid for 43% of its reported Auvelity revenues since launch. Tellingly, Axsome dismissed its longtime auditor E&Y in June 2023, and in both of its past two annual reports, the Company disclosed critical audit matters related to revenue recognition," the report reads. "We believe that to avoid this burden of PAs at standard pharmacies, Axsome has engaged in an undisclosed program that both consigns Auvelity to a network of dodgy mail-order pharmacies then steers prescriptions towards those pharmacies. These pharmacies then use Axsome's copay cards to fill Auvelity prescriptions prior to even submitting the claim to payors, let alone obtaining an approved PA. This raises anti-kickback concerns, false claims concerns, and revenue recognition concerns, in our view." Shares of Axsome have dropped about 8% to $66.01 in morning trading.Reference Link

EMOTF | Hot Stocks08:41 EDT Emerita provides results for Phase I metallurgical testing program at IBW - Emerita Resources provided an update on the metallurgical testing program on its wholly-owned Iberian Belt West Project. Emerita Resources has conducted Metallurgical testing Phase I, in collaboration with Wardell Armstrong International and SRK Consulting. The goal of the Phase I Program was to demonstrate that commercial grade concentrates can be produced from the Project's La Romanera and La Infanta deposits which comprise the NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate to date, and at recoveries which are potentially economic and provide required data for planned mill plant design. IBW hosts three massive sulphide deposits: La Infanta, La Romanera and El Cura. Phase I metallurgical Testing was carried out on La Romanera and La Infanta deposits. El Cura deposit is presently being drilled and will be subject to test work once the mineral resource estimate there is established. Phase I focused on the production of separate copper, lead and zinc concentrates through a sequential test methodology. As part of Phase I, the distribution of gold and silver within the various test products have been tracked however, specific gold and silver recovery testing was not the focus in this phase, still data from Phase I provides important insights with respect to optimizing the precious metals. In Phase I the precious metal recoveries were up to 48.6 % silver and 17.2 % gold in different products. Phase II, which has now been initiated, will investigate optimizing gold and silver recoveries as gravitational and/or concentrate products to bring that up to a target of 60% recovery or more. Phase I demonstrates that the IBW Project shows excellent averages, 85.6% Zinc recovery, 62% Copper recovery and 59% Lead recovery, obtaining commercial grade concentrates from both deposits. These results, which have been normalised based upon resource head grades, are in line with, and in fact, exceed the metallurgical performance of polymetallic ores presently in production in the Iberian Belt. Copper recoveries improve in areas of the deposit with higher copper grades.Emerita Resources has initiated a Phase II of the Program in collaboration with Wardell Armstrong International with two main objectives: A. To ratify the experimental data obtained in Phase I, by means of closed-circuit flotation tests following the scheme obtained in Phase I, using new average samples from each of the deposits and their possible mixtures during the LOM. B. Increase gold recoveries at La Romanera deposit by focusing on 2 basic strategies. Determine the geochemical conditions that allow the existence of free gold forming Electrum, as observed in several petrographic analysis samples. Concentrate gold by differential Pyrite/Arsenopyrite flotation on the Romanera flotation tailings.

NLSP | Hot Stocks08:39 EDT NLS Pharmaceutics announces publication of patent application for DOXA - NLS Pharmaceutics announced the publication of the latest patent application by Aexon Labs with the World Intellectual Property Organization. The patent will be used by NLS pursuant to its existing and previously announced license agreement with Aexon Labs. Key Highlights: The patent application introduces a completely new series of molecules, licensed to NLS from Aexon Labs, acting primarily as dual orexin receptor agonists. These multitarget compounds have demonstrated efficacy in vitro, showing potential to not only mitigate narcolepsy symptoms, but also to slow the progression of neurodegenerative diseases. Unlike many current treatments acting as orexin receptor agonists, these innovative non-sulfonamide derivatives have the potential to reduce the risk of side effects and adverse reactions associated with traditional sulfonamide medications. This characteristic may both broaden their potential use and improve patient safety. The new molecules enhance neurotransmitter release and protect neuronal health by modulating orexin receptors and integrating neuroinflammation protection through cathepsin H inhibition. This combined action targets both sleep regulation and neurodegeneration, offering the potential for significant therapeutic benefits for patients. CTSH is involved in proteolytic degradation and antigen presentation, influencing autoimmune responses in narcolepsy. Inhibiting CTSH could protect neuronal cells by disrupting the proteolytic pathway. When combined with dual orexin receptor agonist action, this approach could significantly enhance orexin signaling stability and mitigate symptoms. Neuroprotective strategies focusing on reducing neuroinflammation and modulating immune responses could further improve therapeutic outcomes. These compounds are designed primarily to treat narcolepsy by activating orexin pathways, which are crucial for maintaining wakefulness and regulating sleep patterns. By addressing the core pathology of narcolepsy, these dual orexin receptor agonists provide a novel and effective treatment approach. Beyond narcolepsy, these multitarget molecules show promise for treating conditions like Parkinson's disease by targeting neurodegenerative processes such as OX1R and a-synuclein. This represents a significant advancement in developing treatments that could improve quality of life and disease outcomes for patients.

OLB | Hot Stocks08:27 EDT OLB Group CEO says management 'fully engaged in the success of the company' - The OLB Group issued an open Letter to Shareholders from Chairman and CEO of OLB Group, Ronny Yakov, which read in part, "Starting on a positive note, our revenues going forward will reflect business from the recent acquisition of the bodegas/convenience store network portal, Black011.com, and the mobile brands Blackwireless.com and Mangomobile.com. OLB recently acquired the remaining 19.9% equity interest of Cuentas SDI, LLC and now owns 100% of Black011.com, which will be restructured and rebranded with additional OLB products and services. Currently we service 1,800 bodegas currently and expanding month to month. Starting by the end of the Third Quarter, we will be offering a variety of new products and services, pre-paid phone cards and credit cards to the owners of bodegas and convenience stores to their underbanked and unbanked customers. Additionally, we are launching the Affordable Connectivity Program program that offers subsidies to low-income customers. We also expect to launch additional services for point of banking and bill payments in early 2025. Merchant payment services continues to be our core business and the primary business related to our custom-developed applications, which remains our strongest competitive advantage. ..On April 19, 2024, we confidentially filed an updated registration statement and a response to SEC comments on prior versions of the registration statement relating to the spin-off DMint, Inc., our Bitcoin mining subsidiary. We anticipate a clearer picture of the pending record date and spin-off date in the coming weeks, at which point, the Company will be announcing a Shareholder of Record date for the DMint stock dividend to OLB shareholders. In anticipation of the spin-off of DMint, we will be reporting in our quarterly financial statements for the six months ended June 30, 2024, DMint's underlying business as a Divested Asset, and the Liabilities of DMint on the balance sheet of OLB will be written off when we distribute shares of DMint to OLB shareholders. We are resubmitting the S-1 this week to address the remaining questions to the SEC. Despite the revenues loss resulting from the termination of merchant services of the acquired portfolio, which we have fully written off, the company projects a revenue run rate of at least $15 million for fiscal 2024. We have taken a conservative approach to the merchant portfolio acquired from FFS Data in 2021. In light of the ongoing fraud claims against FFS Data, we have made the decision to write off the FFS Portfolio and anticipate the recovery of our entire investment upon conclusion of the litigation. We are suing to reverse the transaction and seek the return of the Company's $16 million investment, all legal fees, loss of business opportunity and reputational damages...The management at OLB Group is fully engaged in the success of the company, continues to periodically buy shares at the open market and financially support the company. Today the company has no long-term liability. In conclusion, we believe that after the spinoff of DMint, OLB Group will attract analyst research coverage for both entities as separate, pure play companies engaged in Bitcoin mining and merchant services respectively."

TCON | Hot Stocks08:17 EDT Tracon Pharmaceuticals announces publication of Phae 2 data for TRC102 - TRACON Pharmaceuticals announced the publication of Phase 2 clinical data of its DNA damage repair inhibitor drug candidate, TRC102, in patients with glioblastoma in Clinical Cancer Research. The article, entitled, "Evaluating the Base Excision Repair Inhibitor TRC102 and Temozolomide for patients with Recurrent Glioblastoma in the Phase 2 Adult Brain Tumor Consortium Trial BERT," highlights the activity of TRC102 given in combination with Temodar chemotherapy in patients with recurrent glioblastoma. TRC102 was evaluated in a Phase 2 trial in combination with Temodar in 19 patients with progressive or recurrent glioblastoma following surgical resection, Temodar and external beam radiotherapy. Extended survival was observed in two patients, both of whom demonstrated significantly enriched signatures of DNA damage response, chromosomal instability, and cellular proliferation by RNA sequencing prior to initiating treatment with Temodar and TRC102. The study was completed by the Adult Brain Tumor Consortium and led by Manmeet Alhuwalia, MD while he was Chair of Neuro-Oncology at Cleveland Clinic prior to his appointment as Chief of Medical Oncology, Chief Scientific Officer, and Deputy Director of the Miami Cancer Institute. The authors concluded the study findings confirm the safety and feasibility of TRC102 given with Temodar for recurrent glioblastoma patients and warrant further evaluation of combination therapy in biomarker-enriched trials enrolling glioblastoma patients with baseline hyperactivated DDR pathways. "We believe that the data generated to date provides a strong rationale for studying TRC102 in combination with Temodar and radiotherapy in newly diagnosed patients with malignant glioma," said James Freddo, M.D., Chief Medical Officer of TRACON. "The Clinical Cancer Research publication supports prior data published in Cancer Cell that patients whose cancers demonstrate activation of DDR pathways may be particularly sensitive to the pharmacologic effects of TRC102." Based on a 100% response rate in a Phase 1 clinical trial combining TRC102 with pemetrexed, cisplatin and radiation therapy in 15 patients with stage III non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer, TRC102 is currently being studied in a randomized Phase 2 clinical trial in combination with chemotherapy and radiation therapy for stage III non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer. This trial is sponsored by the National Cancer Institute through a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement. Determination of the primary endpoint of progression free survival is expected in 2025. CCI | Hot Stocks08:14 EDT Crown Castle announces plans to enhance operational performance - Crown Castle announced plans to enhance operational performance. "As we have continued to progress the strategic and operating review of Crown Castle's fiber business, we are implementing changes designed to drive operational efficiencies and to enhance returns in fiber solutions and small cells. These changes are being implemented, regardless of the outcome of the strategic review, which remains active and ongoing," stated Steven Moskowitz, Crown Castle's President and Chief Executive Officer. "With these changes, we are pursuing a more focused sales effort to target on-net and near-net demand and, critically, increasing return thresholds on all new growth opportunities to drive a more efficient use of capital. We believe implementing these changes will lower our capital expenditures on lower-return opportunities in 2024 by $275 million to $325 million while maintaining our expectations for revenue growth across towers, small cells, and fiber solutions over the next several years. Because this reduction in capital expenditures leads to reduced activity, we are also reducing staffing levels and closing certain offices, which we expect will drive approximately $100 million of annualized run-rate operating cost savings, significantly improving our ability to convert incremental revenue into cash flow. We believe this increased focus on cost discipline and capital efficiency will enable us to generate higher returns and reduce our reliance on external capital to fund organic growth opportunities."

"The completion of enrollment demonstrates, for the first time, the feasibility of enrolling a pure DLB patient population into an adequately powered trial. The expeditious nature of the enrollment reflects the level of engagement across our clinical trial sites and the execution of our clinical team and partners, as well as the finding that most patients who entered into screening did not have AD-related co-pathology, as measured by plasma ptau181 testing. MOLN | Hot Stocks05:30 EDT Molecular Partners, Orano Med present MP0712 data at SNMMI - Molecular Partners and Orano Med announced the debut of their lead Radio-DARPin therapy, or RDT, candidate MP0712, targeting DLL3, in an oral presentation. The data presented provide support for MP0712's clinical development in small-cell lung cancer, or SCLC, and other DLL3+ neuroendocrine tumors. MP0712 features 212Pb as a potent therapeutic payload. The data were presented at the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, or SNMMI, 2024 annual meeting taking place June 8-11 in Toronto, Canada. MP0712 is the first high-affinity DLL3-targeting RDT combining the advantages of DARPins as small protein-based delivery vectors and the short-lived alpha particle-emitting radioisotope 212Pb. DLL3 is expressed in greater than 85% of SCLC patients and in other neuroendocrine tumors, while its expression in healthy tissues is low, making it a priority target for radiopharmaceutical therapy. SCLC is an aggressive form of lung cancer, with a poor five-year survival prognosis and a high unmet need for patients. The preclinical package presented at SNMMI includes in vivo data demonstrating strong and homogeneous tumor uptake of 212Pb-DLL3 RDT, as well as significant and durable inhibition of tumor growth at clinically-relevant doses. The safety results seen across the tested dosing levels in mice suggest a favorable safety profile and potential for clinical use. 212Pb-DLL3 RDT candidates were engineered by tuning their biophysical properties to achieve an optimal safety/antitumor activity profile in vivo. The selected lead candidate, MP0712, demonstrated a biodistribution profile in mouse xenograft tumor models, with close to 60% of injected dose detectable in the tumor and encouraging tumor to kidney ratios over two. The replicable DARPin learnings from the development of MP0712, as well as additional platform improvements, are being taken forward to the broader RDT portfolio. The intrinsic properties of DARPins, such as small size, high affinity and selectivity, and a broad range of potential targets, make them ideal vector candidates for radiopharmaceutical therapeutics. Historically, small protein-based vectors faced challenges with kidney accumulation and toxicity, as well as suboptimal tumor uptake. Molecular Partners has evolved its RDT platform to address these limitations with its half-life extension technologies and surface engineering approaches, while preserving the advantages of the small protein format. In addition, Molecular Partners' DARPin candidates have been clinically validated with over 2500 patients treated worldwide and multiple DARPin mechanisms have been demonstrated as biologically active in for different indications, contributing to validation of the drug class and Molecular Partners in the field of DARPin engineering and development.
