The results will be jointly presented by ReGenTree LLC, the Company's U.S. joint venture to develop RGN-259 for ophthalmic indications, and Ora Inc, the clinical trial's CRO. Due to slow patient recruitment, the trial was closed after 18 of 46 patients completed treatment. Six out of 10 patients in the RGN-259-treated group and 1 out of 8 patients in the placebo-treated group achieved complete corneal healing in 4 weeks. In terms of the primary endpoint, the "ratio of corneal wound healed patients after four weeks' administration", the statistical difference was slightly over 0.05, due to the limited number of patients in each group. When another statistical analysis method was used to analyze the same primary endpoint, there was statistical significance, p = 0.0400. In addition, in a pre-specified secondary endpoint evaluating corneal epithelial healing at day 43 and the durability of RGN-259 treatment, there was a clear statistical difference using the Fisher's exact test, p = 0.0359. Several other efficacy parameters were either highly significant or strongly trending toward statistical significance in the RGN-259 group indicating the depth of patient response to RGN-259. The product candidate was deemed to be safe and well-tolerated. Neurotrophic keratitis is a rare ophthalmic disease that can lead to corneal perforation within a short period of time due to urgent and rapid corneal damage in the event of an outbreak. ReGenTree has been developing a new ophthalmic eye drop for NK treatment using Thymosin Beta 4, the active pharmaceutical ingredient of RGN-259, the drug candidate under development. Radiopharmaceuticals that use modern medical isotopes like Lu-177 are easier for patients to access. The administrative burden on clinics can also be reduced by using n.c.a. Lu-177. The input material for creating n.c.a. Lu-177 is Ytterbium-176: a stable isotope precursor that is irradiated in nuclear reactors, producing Lu-177 through neutron activation. Currently, the production of all n.c.a. Lu-177 depends on a limited global supply chain. With this agreement with Kinectrics, POINT is laying the groundwork to access large quantities of highly enriched Yb-176, creating the world's first, stable North American supply of n.c.a. Lu-177, thereby establishing POINT as a dependable provider of high-quality radiopharmaceuticals. "Ensuring a secure, redundant and consistent isotope supply is a cornerstone of POINT's radiopharmaceutical platform," said Dr. Joe McCann, CEO of POINT Biopharma. "Our integrated Lu-177 isotope supply chain is a rarity in the industry allowing us to advance our pipeline and positions us as a future leader in the commercial supply of these treatments. UAVS | Hot Stocks08:37 EDT Ageagle Aerial Systems' senseFly named to Blue sUAS 2.0 list - AgEagle Aerial Systems announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, senseFly, has been named to the Blue sUAS 2.0 list, published by the U.S. Department of Defense's Defense Innovation Unit, DIU, earlier this month. The Blue sUAS 2.0 project follows the partnership between the U.S. Army and DIU on the Short Range Reconnaissance, SRR, program for small unmanned aircraft systems, sUAS, which started in 2019. DIU's Blue sUAS project, now referred to as '1.0,' followed the SRR program in August 2020 and made minor modifications to five final SRR candidate air vehicles and built integrated commercially-based ground control stations to create a standalone commercial/enterprise configuration available to the Department of Defense, as well as other U.S. government entities. The 2.0 project was subsequently created to increase the diversity, capability and affordability of UAS on DIU's "Blue UAS Cleared List," bringing a greater variety of UAS with a wide range of modalities, capabilities and price points. A secondary part of the project involves: 1) an effort to define a common standard across the DoD for UAS vendor onboarding; 2) the means to communicate that standard; and 3) a uniform process to assist authorized vendors in the procurement process. As part of the Blue sUAS 2.0 registration and qualification process, senseFly has completed two demonstrations for U.S. government officials of its highly ruggedized eBee TAC UAV, a hand-launched fixed wing tactical mapping drone solution that enables users in disconnected environments to execute complex mapping and scouting missions safely and efficiently. Weighing only 3.5 pounds, eBee TAC features a digital camouflage skin for increased stealth and can be rapidly deployed, from assembly to hand-launch, in three minutes by a single user. AgEagle CEO Brandon Torres-Declet stated, "Since their creation more than 50 years ago, drones have continued to evolve, becoming one of the main tools integrated into military and defense forces throughout the world. Being the picks and shovels supplier to this burgeoning industry is both a strategic and complementary approach for our Company...One of the first steps in our strategic plan is the holding of a shareholder meeting. At this meeting we plan to put forward and seek approval on several items... We are seeking the support of our almost 100,000 shareholders who I hope can share in the excitement I have for this new direction and support our agenda. September was particularly strong, with new bookings for 2022 sailings more than 60% higher than the monthly average during the second quarter. Sailings for the full year 2022 are booked within historical ranges and at higher prices than 2019. Sailings further out are experiencing more normalized booking trends than sailings closer in. CYTK | Hot Stocks07:41 EDT Cytokinetics announces preclinical data on CK-3828136 - Cytokinetics announced that preclinical data relating to the discovery and optimization of CK-3828136 were presented at the 2021 Medicinal Chemistry Gordon Research Conference in West Dover, VT. CK-136 is a novel, selective cardiac troponin activator in development for the potential treatment of diseases associated with impaired cardiac contractility, such as heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), right ventricular heart failure, and others. Data presented describe the primary research objectives related to CK-136 including the identification of initial hit compounds and subsequent chemical optimization as well as preclinical characterization in biochemical assays, cardiac myocytes, and in vivo models of cardiac function. An initial cardiac troponin activator identified in screening was shown in a reconstituted sarcomere assay to selectively activate the cardiac troponin complex. Importantly, it did not inhibit phosphodiesterase 3 IC50, and showed no effect on the cardiomyocyte calcium transient, indicating its selectivity. The optimization of the initial hit compound that led to CK-136 focused to maximizing the therapeutic window and its pharmacokinetic profile as could result in favorable increases in cardiac function. Preclinical studies demonstrated that the pharmacodynamic range for CK-136 was larger than that associated with omecamtiv mecarbil in similar preclinical models. Additionally, CK-136 demonstrated a pharmacokinetic profile and a projected human half-life that should enable once or twice daily dosing. These preclinical data suggest that CK-136 is a selective cardiac troponin activator with a favorable pharmacodynamic window associated with substantial increases in cardiac contractility, representing a potential approach to augmenting cardiac contractility in diseases characterized by reduced cardiac function.

GILD | Hot Stocks07:34 EDT Gilead announces interim results from BICSTaR study - Gilead announced interim results from the ongoing, multinational, observational single-arm, non-comparative real-world cohort BICSTaR study, which is designed to evaluate the antiviral effectiveness and safety profile of Biktarvy in 1,135 people living with HIV. The BICSTaR study also collected patient-reported outcomes in routine clinical practice to better understand the impact of treatment on health-related quality of life in people living with HIV. These data were presented at the 18th European AIDS Conference. Gilead presented an analysis of patient-reported outcomes after 12 months of treatment with Biktarvy from the BICSTaR study. During the study, conducted at sites in Europe, Canada and Israel, people living with HIV who initiated treatment with Biktarvy between June 2018 and September 2020 completed questionnaires at baseline and 12 months. The questionnaires assessed patient-reported outcomes covering a range of measures. The results underline the importance of collecting patient-reported outcomes in order to understand the impact on mental health status, health-related quality of life and treatment satisfaction of people living with HIV. In a second analysis of the BICSTaR study, 97% of treatment-naive adults and 96% of treatment-experienced adults achieved and maintained virologic suppression after one year of treatment. Participants included adults 50 years of age or older, cisgender women, and late presenters. Both treatment-naive and treatment-experienced participants had high persistence with Biktarvy across both groups, Biktarvy was generally well-tolerated and no resistance to the components of Biktarvy emerged. 148 participants had any adverse event and two had a serious adverse event. The most common drug-related adverse events observed to date in the BICSTaR study were weight increase, nausea, depression, headache, fatigue, diarrhoea and sleep disorder. These large cohort findings continue to reinforce the real-world effectiveness of Biktarvy across populations and are consistent with evidence from randomized clinical trials. Additional Biktarvy data presented at EACS 2021 include a Phase 3 trial that demonstrated the durable efficacy of Biktarvy. In the study, 99% of people living with HIV who switched to Biktarvy from a boosted protease inhibitor-based regimen maintained and achieved long-term viral suppression through a median of 101 weeks, including 98% of participants with pre-existing resistance and 98% of participants with viral blips, with no treatment-emergent resistance to Biktarvy. A pooled analysis of five Phase 3 studies also found that regardless of pre-existing TAMS, a high proportion of those on Biktarvy were able to maintain virologic suppression and had an absence of treatment-emergent resistance. These data support the continued evaluation of Biktarvy as a potential option for virologically suppressed people living with HIV with known resistance. The use of Biktarvy in individuals with a history of treatment failure or known resistance to the components of Biktarvy is investigational, and the safety and efficacy of Biktarvy for this use have not been established.

Adjusted operating expenses are now expected to be in the range of $536 to $541 million, up from $531 to $539 million. The tightened range and increased guidance reflects the strong revenue environment we have seen on a year-to-day basis, as well as Cboe's anticipated ramp up in hiring. The guidance excludes the expected amortization of acquired intangible assets of $127 million; the company plans to reflect the exclusion of this amount in its non-GAAP reconciliation. Depreciation and amortization expense, which is included in adjusted operating expenses above, is now expected to be in the range of $38 to $42 million, up from the previous range of $34 to $38 million, excluding the expected amortization of acquired intangible assets. Reaffirmed that the effective tax rate2 on adjusted earnings for the full year is expected to be in the range of 27.5 to 29.5 percent. The company continues to expect the adjusted effective tax rate for the full year to be at the higher end of the guidance range. Significant changes in trading volume, expenses, federal, state and local tax laws or rates and other items could materially impact this expectation. Capital expenditures are now expected to be in the range of $47 to $52 million, down from the prior range of $55 to $60 million, primarily reflecting changes in the timing of certain projects.

RHHBY | Hot Stocks06:51 EDT Roche says IMPACT trial shows 'clear benefit' of CINtec PLUS Cytology test - Roche announced that results from the IMPACT - IMproving Primary screening And Colposcopy Triage - trial demonstrate clear patient benefit in using Roche's CINtec PLUS Cytology dual-stain biomarker technology as a triage test for women who test positive for high-risk human papillomavirus, or HPV. The data from the trial, established from a study cohort of more than 35,000 women aged 25-65 years, was published recently in the International Journal of Cancer. In the IMPACT trial, women who were positive for high-risk HPV received a follow-up triage test to help determine if their cervical cells were transforming to cervical pre-cancer. The biomarker-based CINtec PLUS Cytology test showed a significantly higher sensitivity in detecting cervical pre-cancers, compared to Pap cytology. The Roche test aids clinicians in more confidently determining which women are at increased risk for high-grade cervical pre-cancer and require immediate further diagnostic procedures, and which women may need repeat testing or routine screening. In the study, HPV-positive women with CINtec PLUS Cytology negative triage test results showed a very low cumulative 1-year risk for disease, which was significantly lower than the risks associated with a negative Pap cytology triage test result in HPV-positive women. Based on the results of the IMPACT trial, the FDA approved the CINtec PLUS Cytology test to be used as triage for positive HPV test results using cobas HPV on cobas 4800, 6800 and 8800 Systems in primary screening or co-testing programs. Recommended clinical guidelines have also been evolving in favor of HPV tests for primary screening, supported by an interest to improve outcomes and the availability of technologies to help laboratories achieve the efficiency and scale they need to meet the demands of high-volume cervical screening programs.
