18:35 EDT Eli Lilly's Forteo shows reduction in fractures in osteoporosis clinical trial - Eli Lilly announced new data showing that treatment with Forteo for 24 months was associated with significantly fewer vertebral and clinical fractures - a composite of painful vertebral and non-vertebral fractures - compared with risedronate, a widely used oral bisphosphonate, in postmenopausal women with severe osteoporosis in the VERO clinical trial. Study results are published in the November 9 issue of The Lancet. Results from the study's primary endpoint showed that at 24 months, fewer patients taking Forteo had new vertebral fractures as compared to patients taking risedronate. The two year clinical trial compared subcutaneous daily teriparatide with oral weekly risedronate in 1,360 women with at least two moderate or one severe vertebral fracture and low bone mass. 17:02 EDT Veracyte says new data for Envisia Genomic Class can enable diagnosis of IPF - Veracyte announced that new data for the Envisia Genomic Classifier were presented today and demonstrate that the test - in real-world clinical scenarios - can enable diagnosis of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis by a central multidisciplinary team, without the need for surgery. The findings are important because IPF is often challenging to distinguish from other interstitial lung diseases without invasive, costly and risky surgery. The new data were shared during the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation's biannual PFF Summit, being held November 9-11 in Nashville, Tenn. In the interim report from the CATALYST clinical utility study, researchers found that two central MDTs - each comprised of a pulmonologist, radiologist and pathologist - diagnosed patients with suspected IPF similarly (92 percent agreement) when they were randomly assigned to review either the patients' surgical pathology or Envisia classifier results, along with clinical information and high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT). The study also showed that the Envisia classifier enabled the MDTs to agree on a diagnosis (94 percent agreement) based on Envisia classifier results, even when surgical pathology results were inconclusive. The findings are from a retrospective analysis involving 71 patients who were evaluated for potential IPF using HRCT, surgical pathology and genomic testing with the Envisia classifier.

16:09 EDT Disney says ESPN results comparable to the prior-year quarter - Disney said operating income at Cable Networks decreased $15M to $1.2B for Q4 due to a decrease at Freeform, partially offset by growth at the Disney Channels due to higher program sales. The decrease at Freeform was driven by lower advertising revenue primarily due to a decrease in average viewership. The company said, "Results at ESPN were comparable to the prior-year quarter as higher programming costs and lower advertising revenue were offset by higher affiliate revenue. The programming cost increase was driven by contractual rate increases for NFL, college sports and MLB, partially offset by the absence of costs for Olympics programming internationally and the World Cup of Hockey. Lower advertising revenue was due to a decrease in average viewership and lower units delivered, partially offset by higher rates. Affiliate revenue growth resulted from contractual rate increases, partially offset by a decline in subscribers."

Primary cutaneous ALCL and MF are the most common subtypes of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. The approval is based on data from the phase 3 ALCANZA trial and two phase 2 investigator-sponsored trials. The phase 3 ALCANZA study was designed to compare ADCETRIS monotherapy administered every three weeks versus physician's choice of representative standard of care options, methotrexate or bexarotene. The trial met its primary endpoint with the ADCETRIS treatment arm demonstrating a highly statistically significant improvement in the rate of objective response lasting at least four months versus the control arm as assessed by an independent review facility. ORR4 was 56.3% in the ADCETRIS arm compared to 12.5% in the control arm. The most common adverse reactions were: anemia, peripheral sensory neuropathy, nausea, diarrhea, fatigue and neutropenia. This is the fourth FDA-approved indication for ADCETRIS, which also has: (1) regular approval for treatment of classical Hodgkin lymphoma patients who fail autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation or who fail at least two prior multi-agent chemotherapy regimens and are not auto-HSCT candidates, (2) regular approval for the treatment of patients with cHL at high risk of relapse or progression as post-auto-HSCT consolidation, and (3) accelerated approval for treatment of systemic anaplastic large cell lymphoma patients who fail at least one prior multi-agent chemotherapy regimen. Accelerated approval in the sALCL indication is based on overall response rate, and continued approval for this indication may be contingent upon verification and description of clinical benefit in confirmatory trials.

09:08 EDT Textainer sees revenue increasing on current conditions - The company said, "We are very optimistic about the outlook for both Textainer and our industry. The manufacturers are full through November. Production during the winter will be constrained due to the difficulty in applying water-born paint in cold temperatures. Steel prices may strengthen due in part to enforcement of pollution regulations in China leading to the closure of some steel producers. For these reasons, we do not expect new container prices to decline over the coming quarters. The inventory of new containers at factories is approximately 400,000 TEU which we consider reasonable given the current outlook for demand and production. With utilization at such high levels, worldwide depot inventory is also very low. We expect rental rates to remain around current levels given the disciplined ordering of new containers by lessors and shipping lines and the constraints on new container production. Sales prices should remain around today's levels because the quantity of containers being put to sale is limited due to high utilization at lessors and shipping lines. Over the coming years, we will benefit not just from the projected continued strong growth in container trade but also from revenue upside from lease repricing. Leases maturing in 2018 have average rates of 56c per CEU per day and this figure declines to 36c per CEU per day by 2021. These rates are well below current new and depot container rental rates. If current market conditions continue, as these leases reprice any increase in rental revenue will flow straight to our bottom line."

09:03 EDT Pershing: ADP management pivoted message to 'we are already doing it' - Pershing Square Holdings released an email sent from Pershing Square Capital Management, L.P. CEO and Portfolio Manager, William Ackman, to investors. The text of the email: Proxy contests are tools that activist investors use to effect change at public companies. Over the last 90 days, we have had the opportunity to inform ADP shareholders, the board, and management about the potential opportunities that exist to create enormous shareholder value. Compared with the ADP incumbent director with the fewest votes, Mr. Eric Fast, we received 31% of the FOR votes - thus nearly a third of shareholders supported us. This 31% does not include shareholders who withheld against Mr. Fast on the recommendation of ISS as its suggested mechanism for facilitating my election to the board. Including these votes, 45% of shareholders either directly supported my candidacy to the board or withheld on Mr. Fast to facilitate my election to the Board. Just 55% of shares voted supported the full board slate. We received substantial minority support no matter how the votes are counted. Putting aside the percentage outcome, the message we and other shareholders delivered was clear. Furthermore, we believe that the substantial majority of shareholders who did not support us were convinced that the message we delivered was heard "loud and clear" by the company. These shareholders were willing to give the board and management another year to demonstrate progress on the opportunities that we had identified. In order to win the contest, ADP's management and board pivoted their message over the last few weeks from "just say no" to "we agree and we are already doing it." The company made commitments to shareholders about margin improvement, accelerated revenue growth, and a new product launch to address market share losses in its Enterprise segment. If ADP announces a credible plan and delivers, we and other shareholders will be happy. If management fails to deliver, we will be focused on next year's annual meeting. The dynamic we have created by the proxy contest sets up a favorable risk-reward ratio for ADP shareholders over the next 12 months. It is a quintessential example of how shareholder activism is supposed to work.

08:25 EDT IsoRay launches Phase II Multicenter Clinical Trial with Cesium-131 - IsoRay announced the launch of a Phase II, Multicenter Clinical Trial with Cesium-131 Adjuvant Radiation for Retroperitoneal Sarcoma Delivery System (CARDS Trial) by the University of Louisville, Division of Surgical Oncology, Louisville, KY. The Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Louisville has a long-standing commitment to excellence in research, education, and patient care. As one of the largest Divisions of Surgical Oncology in the U.S., and one of the top training programs as well, the faculty members have broad clinical and research interests. The principal investigator for the study is Charles R. Scoggins, M.D., a professor of Surgical Oncology. Among his co-investigators are other surgical oncologists as well as Robert C.G. Martin II MD, PhD, Prejesh Philips MD, and Michael Egger MD, MS. The primary objective of the study is to compare the efficacy of Cesium-131 mesh placement on overall and recurrence free survival of patients who underwent resection for retroperitoneal sarcoma to historical series where resection is the sole treatment. The study is expected to begin enrolling 12 patients with retroperitoneal sarcoma who will have the Cesium-131 implant placed in the abdominal cavity at the time the sarcoma is surgically removed. The Cesium-131 implant delivers a high dose of radiation very close to where tumor cells may be left behind after a surgery intended to remove all of these cells has been completed. Due to the very compact and targeted nature of the dose, other critical structures in the retroperitoneum are not expected to be exposed to these high levels of radiation, reducing the possibility of radiation injury to uninvolved anatomy.

08:12 EDT Alkermes calls for review of data supporting use of opioid dependence treatments - Alkermes is calling for a formal review by the National Institutes of Health of data related to all FDA-approved medication-assisted treatment options for opioid dependence. The goal of this review should be to establish a shared national understanding of the characteristics of these medicines and the scientific and medical evidence supporting their use. This review should evaluate the efficacy and safety of these treatment options, the specific patient populations most likely to benefit from them, as well as the data relating to overdose prevention, diversion, illicit use, craving, patient satisfaction and other important aspects of recovery. With a complete understanding of the body of evidence supporting MAT, treatment providers in the community will be better equipped to make data-driven treatment decisions customized to individual patient needs. Alkermes proposes a public meeting, led by NIH/NIDA, which includes presentation and review of medical and scientific data pertaining to FDA-approved medications for opioid dependence, including expert testimony from representatives of NIH, NIDA, the CDC, the FDA, the Surgeon General, and the National Institute of Corrections, and unbiased and unconflicted data-driven patient and professional associations, including the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry. Adults with anti-PD-1 refractory, unresectable stage III/IV melanoma were enrolled. IMO-2125, escalating from 4 - 32 mg is administered under image guidance, intratumorally on weeks 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, and 11 with standard ipilimumab. Biopsies were obtained in both the injected and distant tumor at baseline, 1 day and 8 weeks post injection. Immune analyses included phenotypic, activation, and functional characterization of DC subsets and T cells. T-cell repertoire diversity was evaluated by high-throughput CDR3 sequencing and changes in gene expression signatures were assessed by nanoString. Key Highlights to be Presented Include: IMO-2125 induces a strong Type 1 interferon gene signature, macrophage influx and robust dendritic cell maturation post-injection; Combination therapy induces CD8+ T-cell proliferation and activation that is preferential to the tumor; The hallmark of observed tumor shrinkage appears to be the presence of Ki67+ CD8+ T-cell effector cells in the distant/un-injected tumor.

The deposit is a zinc and gold-rich volcanogenic massive sulfide, or VMS, deposit located along the mineral-rich Penokean Volcanic Belt. Over the past 10 years, Aquila and various joint venture partners have invested more than $75 million exploring and advancing Back Forty. Aquila completed a preliminary economic assessment for the Project in 2014 that demonstrated positive economics, and estimated total payable gold production of 532,000 ounces, including 145,000 ounces in the first year. Aquila is currently completing a feasibility study for the Project, which is expected to be released in early 2018. In addition to the Gold Stream, OBL has agreed to purchase units in the amount of US$10 million as part of a concurrent private placement with Aquila.

06:34 EDT Coty CEO: Results are likely to be a bit uneven going forward - Commenting on Coty's performance, Camillo Pane, Coty CEO said: "Q1 was a much better quarter. We saw strong growth in Luxury, continued positive momentum in Professional and a reduced net revenue decline in the Consumer Beauty division. While results are likely to be a bit uneven from quarter to quarter going forward, the improving revenue trend gives me confidence that the growth strategy I outlined earlier this year is moving Coty gradually onto a path of full recovery. We also delivered significant improvement in profits, driven by better gross margin performance and strong financial discipline on the cost structure. I am pleased to announce that, as of September 1, we have exited our third and final TSA with P&G for the ALMEA region and now have control of processes, systems and data across the new Coty. We are also satisfied with the contributions from our other strategic acquisitions, Hypermarcas, ghd and Younique and continue to strengthen our overall portfolio through our strategic partnership with Burberry, an iconic brand that is an exciting addition to our portfolio. We believe we are uniquely positioned to develop and grow this luxury brand to its full potential. Looking ahead to the remainder of fiscal 2018, we expect to continue to deliver on our announced synergies, finalize the streamlining of our brand portfolio and relaunch several of our key brands. With these programs, we aim to deliver improved net revenue growth trends for the remainder of the year, with an organic second half top line roughly comparable to prior year, as well as healthy margin improvement over the balance of the year. I am highly confident that all of our efforts will lead to Coty becoming a new global leader and challenger in beauty."

DISH

06:05 EDT Dish says paused service in Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands during hurricane Maria - During September 2017, Hurricane Maria caused extraordinary damage in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, resulting in a widespread loss of power and infrastructure. Given the devastation and loss of power, substantially all customers in those areas were unable to receive DISH service as of September 30, 2017. In an effort to ensure customers would not be charged for services they were unable to receive, DISH proactively paused service for those customers. Accordingly, DISH removed approximately 145,000 subscribers, representing all of its subscribers in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, from its ending Pay-TV subscriber count as of September 30, 2017. The company closed the third quarter with 13.203 million Pay-TV subscribers compared to 13.643 million Pay-TV subscribers at the end of third quarter 2016. Other metrics including gross new Pay-TV subscriber activations, net Pay-TV subscriber additions/losses and Pay-TV churn rate for the period ended September 30, 2017 were not adjusted for the impact of Hurricane Maria.

06:05 EDT Sage Therapeutics' brexanolone achieves primary endpoint in Phase 3 trial - Sage Therapeutics announced positive top-line results from two Phase 3 clinical trials with its proprietary i.v. formulation of brexanolone; Study 202B in severe postpartum depression and Study 202C in moderate PPD. Brexanolone achieved the primary endpoint in both trials, a mean reduction from baseline in the Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression total score compared to placebo at 60 hours. Patients treated with brexanolone demonstrated mean reductions from baseline in HAM-D total scores of 14 to 20 points at 60 hours maintained to 30 days in both trials. Brexanolone was generally well tolerated and showed a similar safety profile as seen in earlier studies. Sage believes these data will be sufficient to support submissions of regulatory applications seeking approval of brexanolone for PPD. Sage plans to file a New Drug Application with the FDA in 2018.
DISH

06:03 EDT Dish activated approximately 638,000 gross new Pay-TV subscribers in Q3 - In the third quarter, DISH activated approximately 638,000 gross new Pay-TV subscribers, compared to approximately 736,000 gross new Pay-TV subscribers in the prior year's third quarter. In the 50 states, net Pay-TV subscribers grew approximately 16,000 in the third quarter. When accounting for the one-time removal of 145,000 subscribers in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands and for 16,000 net Pay-TV subscriber additions in the 50 states, Pay-TV subscribers declined approximately 129,000 in the third quarter. In light of the situation in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, DISH expects to incur certain expenses in connection with the re-activation of returning customers in these areas. Accordingly, any returning customers will be recorded as gross new Pay-TV subscriber activations for the period in which they return. Pay-TV subscriber churn rate was 1.57 percent versus 2.11 percent for third quarter 2016. Pay-TV ARPU for the third quarter totaled $87.23, compared to the year-ago period's Pay-TV ARPU of $89.44.
