(TWX)/New Line's prequel "Annabelle: Creation" conjured up $35M in its domestic box office debut. Nonetheless, reviews have been mixed to positive for the horror movie, which currently has a 68% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and audiences gave it a CinemaScore of B. The movie marks another summer win for Warner Bros. following its "Wonder Woman" and "Dunkirk." BOX OFFICE RUNNERS-UP: In its fourth weekend, "Dunkirk" finished in second place with $11.4M and crossed the $150M mark in North America. Behind it was the new animated offering "The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature," debuting with a $8.9M from a bit over four thousand theaters. The Open Road's movie rolled out in theaters just days after Tang Media announced it is acquiring the company from AMC Entertainment (AMC) and Regal Entertainment (RGC). Sony's (SNE) "The Dark Tower" fell from number one to number four, with $7.9M and a 10-day domestic total of $34.3M. Rounding out the top five, Sony's family animated movie "The Emoji Movie" hit $6.6M. Other publicly traded companies in filmmaking include Comcast (CMCSA), Lionsgate (LGF.A), Walt Disney (DIS), 21st Century Fox's (FOX) and Viacom's (VIAB; VIA).

15:05 EDT Magic Software declares semi-annual dividend of 13c - Magic Software announced that in compliance with its dividend distribution policy, its Board of Directors has declared a semi-annual cash dividend in the amount of 13c per share and in the aggregate amount of approximately $5.9M for the first half of 2017, reflecting 75% of its distributable profits. The dividend is payable on September 13, 2017 to all of the company's shareholders of record at the close of the NASDAQ Global Select Market on August 29, 2017. Magic Software had announced that its Board of Directors decided to amend the company's dividend distribution policy announced on September 5, 2012. According to Magic Software's amended policy, each year it will distribute a dividend of up to 75% of its annual distributable profits. The actual distribution of a dividend will be subject to meeting the conditions required by applicable law, and to the specific decision of the company's Board of Directors for each distribution.
