HCA... | Hot Stocks08:21 EDT Week in review: How Trump's policies moved stocks - Catch up on the top industries and stocks that were impacted, or were predicted to be impacted, by the comments, actions and policies of President Trump and his administration with this weekly recap compiled by The Fly: 1. JUNIOR'S EMAILS: On Tuesday, Donald Trump Jr. released emails that indicated he was offered information last year that would be incriminating to Democratic presidential candidate Hilary Clinton. The email communication was with Rob Goldstone, a British music publicist with Russian business clients and ties to the Miss Universe competition that was once owned by Donald Trump. Last year, Donald Trump Jr. replied to the prospect of incriminating evidence against Clinton: "If it's what you say I love it especially later in the summer." Before the New York Times published a copy of the emails, Trump Jr. tweeted: "To everyone, in order to be totally transparent, I am releasing the entire email chain of my emails with Rob Goldstone about the meeting on June 9, 2016." The U.S. markets briefly dipped after the emails were released, but recovered by the end of the day. 2. HEALTH BILL: The Senate's revised healthcare bill will retain two Obamacare taxes on the wealthy and retain its limit on corporate tax deductions for executive pay in the health insurance industry, Reuters reported earlier this week, citing a source. The former CEA chairs are warning that the tariffs "would likely do harm" to U.S. relations with top steel producing ally nations major including Canada, Brazil, South Korea and Mexico, the publication noted. Imposing steel tariffs in the name of national security has been a focus for President Donald Trump since he took office and on Thursday Bloomberg reported that he would consider tariffs and quotas for steel. Companies that may be impacted by this include U.S. Steel (X), AK Steel (AKS), Nucor (NUE), Steel Dynamics (STLD), ArcelorMittal (MT), Alcoa (AA), and Century Aluminum (CENX). 4. CFTC COMMISSIONER: The White House is expected to nominate Russ Behnam to serve as a commissioner on the Commodity Futures Trading Commission as soon as this week, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
